EXPECTATIONS (Freedom Vs Fear…)
EXPECTATIONS (Freedom Vs Fear…)
Have you ever considered what kind of freedom we crave for?
We believe we’re free.. yet hand on heart, we always knew the truth that lies inside us. The truth which is stopping us from experiencing the best because we have the tendency to live in the fear.
Are we really free from our thoughts, from the expectations of others? or rather pretend to be free.
A man who suffers before it is necessary, suffers more than is necessary. — Seneca
Just be yourself they say, but which part??
The patterns that have come to define me?
the well-versed society version?
or the larger part that’s neither here, not there, but everywhere?
What’s holding us is the expectations of others.
It’s obvious to expect things from someone but at what extent those expectations start to hurt? — Either too much of it or not expecting anything at all.
Latter one wins, I guess.
Usually, these expectations causes two kinds of burden:
- Firstly, when we’re expecting someone else to fulfill our desires it creates burden onto another person.
- Second is, when we don’t expect anything from anyone, because we don’t trust them enough, will generate burden onto ourselves.
This whole scenario is based upon TRUST.
How we’re contributing our trust among others? How often we trust them with the responsibilities, we can’t handle at times.
Often individuals argue that sharing their trust leads them to uncertainty or creates self-doubt.
Well, how do we get to know until we didn’t give it a try.
You have to let go of your Fear, to cherish the taste of Freedom.

It’s when you open yourself to your loved ones, you can live without any burden of expectations.
Let others know, what you want and let them trust you with all they have. In reality, expectations never hurt instead it makes your bond even more stronger with yourself and others, if you know what to expect and how much to expect.
If you are not living to satisfy other people’s expectations, it follows that other people are not living to satisfy your expectations.
Don’t load yourself with the expectations of others however, don’t be afraid to share your trust at times, because somehow we all are dependent on each other.
To make it more clear, have expectations from yourself and others, because that’s how you will grow. The more precise expectations you have, more the freedom will follow your path.
Forget about the fear, because by surrendering your true self one can never live in the fear of judgement.
